This policy explains how Doorstep Pros ("we", "us") collects, uses and shares information when you visit doorsteppros.com or any website we operate, or when you submit a request through one of our forms.
What we collect
- Information you give us: your name, phone number, email address, ZIP code, the service you need, your timeframe, whether you own the property, and anything you write in a notes field. For contractors: company name, contact details, trade and service area.
- Technical information: your IP address, browser type, the page you came from, and any campaign tags in the link you followed. Our hosting provider records standard server logs.
How we use it
- To match your request with a contractor who serves your area, and to pass your request to that contractor.
- To contact you about your request, including by phone, text or email.
- To respond to contractors who ask about working with us.
- To run, secure and improve our websites, and to prevent spam and fraud.
- To meet legal obligations.
Who we share it with
- One matched contractor. When you submit a homeowner request, we share it with the contractor we match you with. That contractor is an independent business and handles your information under its own privacy practices.
- Service providers who host our websites, send email or text messages, or store data for us, only as needed to provide those services.
- Legal reasons: when required by law, or to protect our rights, users or the public.
We do not sell your information to lists of companies.
Calls and texts
When you submit a request, you agree that we and the matched contractor may contact you about it by phone, text or email, which may include automated technology. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. You can opt out of texts at any time by replying STOP, and ask not to be called by telling the caller or emailing us.
How long we keep it
We keep request details for as long as needed to handle the request and for our business records, typically up to 24 months, unless you ask us to delete them sooner or the law requires us to keep them longer.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it by emailing hello@doorsteppros.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them.
Cookies and analytics
We may use cookies and similar tools, such as Google Analytics, to understand how our sites are used. You can block cookies in your browser settings.
Google user data
Some of our internal tools connect to Google services, such as the Google Ads API, using our own Google account to research advertising and search data. We do not request access to visitors' Google accounts and do not collect Google user data from visitors to this site.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, but no system is completely secure.
Children
Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
